Our Fun Welcome Event!

The new school year has begun! Welcome to all of our new students! On April 5^th, the Department of English as an International Language (国際英語学科) held a guidance and “icebreaker” event for the new students. In the icebreaker event, students and teachers did fun activities together to introduce everyone and get to know each other better.

The event was held in the SILC lounge (Shoin International Learning Center), whose kind staff also provided popcorn and drinks for everyone.

For the main activity, new students teamed up with some of the sempai, and formed groups. Each group was given a short amount of time to build a tall tower using only straws and tape.

It was a very exciting competition, and when time was up, the winning team had a tower that was 160cm tall! Great job! Congratulations to the winning team, and welcome everyone to the Kokusaieigo family!
